  1. This is beautiful, Brenda. Oil and acrylic has a unique effect that seems to soften the acrylic, while making it easier to use.

  2. Thank you, Kathryn, or shall I say, ☆Kate Champagne♥♪♫ (such a great nom de plume)... and while I agree with you on mixed media, in this painting they aren't actually mixed - I painted the primed canvas black with an acrylic paint because it dries fast. The painting itself is all oils - and thick, to cover that black. It'll take sooo long to dry! Figuring August or September before I can varnish and show it! xo

This paining is filled with spirit and glorious heaven-ward movement. I like the addition of the eclipse. Also enjoyed the Tantric poem ... somehow Brenda I see you ever "dancing." Happy New Year my friend.

  4. Thank you, Liz! I do think the eclipse makes the painting. It's almost hypnotic to look at. I downloaded a whole bunch of images of the solar eclipse at the turn of this year - amazing. The texture of the sun's corona is almost like white bedsheets in many of the photos. Extraordinary quality to them. My painting doesn't capture that but since it is black the solar eclipse is visually striking & so I won't rework it later, when everything is dry, and I can lean my hand on the canvas and finish details. Thank you for your response to the poem, too. xo
