You know, some of the spam I get is almost poetry. But not quite.
ReplyDeleteWeaving it into something as "found poetry" is what I was doing here... with all sorts of comments on the culture I suppose. Spam doesn't really bother me - most of it caught in the spam folder, which I religiously empty frequently as I marvel at the stupidity of the subject headings, the tiny bit of the first line that shows, the fake names. Does anybody seriously read this stuff, and do they spend money on it? It's hard to believe. Surely spammers make their money simply by convincing irreputable companies that there's economic value in advertising this way. And surely it is only spammers who purchase anything on well camoflaged credit cards to prove to the irreputable companies that spam advertising works.
ReplyDeleteIt's a most strange use of language, indeed.
